Community Garden
The Community Garden is an ongoing project aimed at creating a safe, open, and inclusive space for connecting with others or enjoying peaceful time alone in nature.
The Community Garden is maintained by our Food Uses Coordinator, Becca, in collaboration with dedicated volunteers. The garden is currently being redesigned and developed to ensure accessibility for everyone in our community (watch this space!).Â
Over the last year, we have collaborated with local groups such as One Family, BrightLocal and CMDP on garden days. Together, we’ve tended to our little orchard, built natural fencing, weeded, pruned, and laid woodchip paths, all helping to nurture and develop this special space.

Future plans include:
- community garden days
- growing fresh produce to use in community meals and the café
- supporting learning opportunities around growing, cooking, and eating
- continuing to host dedicated Corporate Volunteer DaysÂ
Â
The garden provides a space for free, natural play—perfect for building dens or mixing potions. The space is used by our Stay & Play group on Monday mornings and is included with bookings of the back room for parties, events, and group activities, offering a beautiful outdoor area.
