A new defibrillator for the community.

Teamwork makes the dream work!

There is no down side to installing one of these life saving devices. So when Patcham United came to us and donated £500 towards a defibrillator we starting searching for a way to raise the rest. Thanks to Legal and General matching this donation and then the Connor Saunders Foundation then matching that donation we had enough money to fit one on the outside of the building for anyone in need to use. It is registered with the Ambulance service so you will be directed to us and walked through how to use it if it is needed. The Old Boat team is also fully trained so we are there to help too. Thank you to Patcham United, Legal and General and The Connor Saunders Foundation.

The Connor Saunders Foundation

The Connor Saunders Foundation was set up after Connor was tragically killed by just one punch at 19.

Connor was charming, kind and caring – he worked hard, was the first to help others his whole life (becoming an organ donor at 16) and believed that life was what you made it.

Devastated, the Saunders family set up the Foundation in Connor’s name, determined to honour his life and maintain his capacity to love and care for those around him.

This legacy promotes peace throughout Sussex, encouraging all to use their hands to help, rather than to hurt through anti violence workshops, first aid training and defibrillator packages to schools and clubs.
