Another magnificent event for the 2023 festive season!

What a day we had! Many different activities on offer and all at a low cost for our community. Father Christmas had an early start, as we welcomed some young guests in for a quiet session, before the event fully opened up for all, and Ol’ Saint Nick had a queue all day! Brighton Bouncy Castles did not fail to disappoint with the Bouncy Snowglobe and our personal highlight, the Reindeer Rodeo! Check out Bella having a great time below – she did so well!!

Patcham Silver Band went down a storm!

In 2022, we welcomed the youth members of Patcham Silver Band, this year we were very lucky to host some of the adult members, and our audience LOVED THEM! There’s something about Christmas songs played by a brass band that you just can’t beat!

Another hugely successful Tombola

Cafe team member, Cat, seems to thrive when asked to manage a Tombola – she did so well at our End of Summer Fun Day that we asked her to run the stall again, and it was very popular with our guests, young and old! Some came back over and over again to try and win a cuddly poo cushion (of all things)! The Tombola is a really important part of our events, as the prizes are always donated by the community and it costs us very little to run. The money we make on these kind of games goes towards paying for some of the other activities.

This year, we were excited to have Otsvo Booth’s with their Magic Mirror for the first time, offering fun photos for all with plenty of props and silly accessories. Another hugely popular activity (you should see some of the staff photos from the end of the day…)! And how could we forget, Olu’s Nigerian Kitchen – another sell out, which is hardly surprising when her food tastes SO GOOD!

We are so pleased that so many of you came to support the event, and that we were able to provide low-cost, accessible fun for all.

For the second year running, our Christmas events were generously supported by the OS&B Society – a collective of people who look for ways to make contributions for the benefit of the children in our community. Their donation enabled us to fund gifts for Santa’s Grotto as well as providing gifts for every child that attended The Littlest Christmas Elf. A HUGE thank you to the OS&B’s!
